TOPWAY® BOX / CUSTOM CONTAINERS
Container Accommodation
Container accommodation is planned around sleeping arrangements and shared living needs.
TOPWAY® BOX lists container accommodation in its product range, supported by general capabilities in structural layout, openings, insulation and service interfaces. A useful project brief identifies the occupants, room arrangement and facilities required within each supplied unit.

Define Occupancy Before Selecting Units
Start with the number of people and how they will share space. Room occupancy, privacy, storage and daily circulation determine the layout brief. No standard bed count or accommodation capacity is stated on this page.
- Room schedule: single or shared occupancy and the number of rooms required.
- Sleeping arrangement: bed types, furniture dimensions and access space.
- Personal storage and circulation: luggage, lockers and daily use.
- Operating pattern: length of stay, shift patterns and housekeeping access.

Choose the Building Basis and Internal Arrangement
Confirm whether the proposal is based on shipping-container conversions or another expressly identified accommodation structure. Purpose-built modular and expandable units should be distinguished from converted shipping containers.
Partitions, doors and windows need to be coordinated with the approved room layout. If multiple units are planned, shared circulation and connection arrangements need a separate site-level brief.

Washrooms and Shared Living Facilities
State whether bathrooms are within sleeping units, shared between rooms or provided in separate units. Include any laundry, kitchenette or common-room requirement in the project brief.
Fixtures and equipment are subject to scope confirmation. The room plan should identify proposed water, wastewater, power and ventilation interfaces and which party provides each connecting system.

Unit Supply and Site Responsibilities
The agreed supply schedule should separate the units and factory fit-out from site foundations, walkways, utility networks, shared facilities and installation. Each interface needs a responsible party.
Container accommodation supply does not automatically include a complete camp, hotel operation or site infrastructure package. Transport, lifting and installation arrangements must be reviewed for the actual unit configuration.
Container Accommodation FAQ
How many beds fit in a container accommodation unit?
A bed count should follow an approved room layout and the project’s occupancy requirements. Supply the intended number of occupants, bed dimensions, storage and circulation needs for review.
Can bathrooms be included in sleeping units?
Include the proposed bathroom arrangement in your brief. Fixture supply, wet-area details, plumbing provisions and site connections must be confirmed in the specification.
Is this the same as a shipping container home?
Accommodation procurement focuses on room schedules, shared facilities and occupancy across one or more units. A residential home has a different household layout brief.
Does the quotation include the whole accommodation site?
Only the agreed scope is included. Foundations, external utilities, access routes, shared facilities and operation of the site require explicit allocation.
Are beds and climate-control equipment included?
Their inclusion depends on the supply schedule. Specify furniture and equipment requirements so installed items can be distinguished from interface provisions and items supplied by others.
